Ultrafine merino is as fine as cashmere and is the finest grade of merino commercially available. The yarn has 2 plies and a medium twist. This combination allows room for the cashmere fibres to bloom and the merino fibres to plump up and support them. It is ideal for lace as the 2 plies roll away from each other to open up the lacework and reveal the pattern.
 
Care:
This yarn is non-superwash and I recommend a cool hand wash in a mild detergent. Although every effort is made to exhaust the dye bath of color you may find a little color bleed on the first wash.
